LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
Rachelle is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who helps individuals, couples and families find solutions to struggles ranging from communication and interpersonal dysfunction to depression, anxiety, and exposure to trauma. Her expertise in formulating personalized approaches to mental health care draws from her years of experience as a mentor, confidant, private practice clinician, and knowledge from the LA County Department of Mental Health system.
Rachelle, known in her circles for her warm welcomes and easy-going attitude, believes that open communication and understanding are vital to success in therapy. Even before her many years as a producer in the entertainment industry, Rachelle began her mentoring and counseling career in 2006 while still an undergraduate, spear-heading a peer mentor program that shaped Rachelle’s approach to therapy today. Rachelle consistently takes a client-centered approach to her work, acknowledging that no two persons, couples, or families are identical and each has their own needs to which that work should be tailored. Rachelle has a deep understanding of mind-body connection and how physical struggles can lead to mental health struggles (and vice versa) which is why she offers outdoor sessions, utilizing parks and hiking as catalysts for her work.
Rachelle holds degrees from the University of Miami and California State University, Northridge. When time allows, she continues to mentor and coach, as well as develop content for community presentations. In her spare time you will likely find her out with her pup, Riggins, and exploring what Los Angeles has to offer.
